Matt entered the renewable energy industry in 2009.  In his most recent role prior to Sol, he led the formation and management of CleanGen, Inc., a clean energy development company owned by EPC firm Bechtel, where he oversaw all aspects of building the company during its first three years of operation. Prior to his role as Head of CleanGen, Mr. Strangfeld was Managing Director of Clean Energy Development at Bechtel, focusing on building a new team and development portfolio within US onshore wind and utility-scale solar.  Prior to this, Mr. Strangfeld held various project finance and project development roles at Bechtel across gas, rail, and communication infrastructure projects. Prior to Bechtel, Mr. Strangfeld was a Co-Founder and Principal at BrightPath Energy, a solar development and financing company for four years.  Mr. Strangfeld began his career at Lehman Brothers. Mr. Strangfeld holds a B.A. with honors from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
