Developing a community solar farm is a great way to bring clean energy to residents without individual, rooftop installments. That's why Sol Systems developed a community solar project for the Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Through a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) between Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) and Sol Systems, this 5.322 MW project generates lease revenue to NPPD and helps them sell back the power through the SunWise(SM) community solar program. The shares of the community solar program are fully subscribed to NPPD customers and helps the city achieve its goal to reduce its carbon footprint and stabilize city costs for the next 25 years. Learn more about the project from the Scottsbluff press release.
